Troop 314 is hosting a FREE Belt Loop Day on Saturday, June 28 in Westminster. A great opportunity, especially for our new Tigers, to earn a couple of belt loops with the guidance of the boy scouts and fellow scouters....and lunch is included! See the attached flyer and please RSVP. Just complete the coursework at the event and report back to your den leader. Your belt loops will be awarded at our September Pack meeting.

The Huntington Beach Historical Society is proud to host the 21st annual Civil War Days Living History and Reenactment in Huntington Beach Central Park on the 150th anniversary of the War Between the States
Start your summer out enjoying the great outdoors! Join our fun-loving Pack families on a campout at Cabrillo Youth Center on June 20-22.
New to Camping? This is the PERFECT outing for you. All you need is a tent, sleeping bag and flashlight and you're good to go! The camp provides the food and opportunities for fun. (Sports Chalet rents tents and sleeping bags if you don't have one).
Our adventure begins on Friday, June 20th. You can check-in as early as 4pm.
Your camp fee includes:
* 3 meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.
* Use of the pool with lifeguards (swim test Friday night for everyone) and you'll get a band based on your swim ability.
* Use of waterfront craft (canoes, kayaks, rowboats, dragonboats).
* Arts and craft fun (nominal fee for leather crafts, wood projects to paint, lanyards, etc.)
Sunday - check out by 11am
Camp fee is $62 per person. The camp is closely located at 3000 Shoshonean Rd, San Pedro, CA 90731. It's also within walking distance of the tide pools and Cabrillo Aquarium.

This Saturday is SCOUT-O-RAMA! Use your CAMP CARD for free family admission. $5 parking.
The Orange County Council, Boy Scouts of America (OCBSA) will host its annual Scout-O-Rama event on Saturday, May 10 at the Oak Canyon Park near Irvine Lake from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Open to people of all ages, Scout-O-Rama offers families a fun filled day with more than 250 exciting exhibits, outdoor competitions and live demonstrations.
Scout-O-Rama events include Explorer demonstrations, canoe racing, rock wall climbing, wooden derby-car racing and informational booths about Scouting and its many lifetime-learning programs.
“For more than 40 years, Scout-O-Rama has been a hallmark event in Orange County, and this year’s program promises to be a memorable one,” said Jeff Herrmann, president and scout executive for the OCBSA. “The event highlights the core values and skills of Scouting in a fun manner that is open to the entire community.”
“The motto of the event is Lead, Inspire, Explore., which is meant to highlight all of the experiential outdoor activities that kids and their families can enjoy throughout the day. “For Scouts, the best way to find out what you do best is to do it, and that doing is the focus of Scout-O-Rama.”

Racing begins PROMPTLY by 11:45 am
What to wear: Cub Scout Class A uniform or Pack 620 t-shirts
Who: Pack 620 Cub Scouts, siblings and parents. (Special Invited Guests will be the St Hedwig Kindergarten boys and their families to watch and enjoy lunch.)
Cost: Cub Scout Pinewood Derby Car kits can be purchased at any Boy Scout Shop (check our website for locations). Siblings and parents may also purchase cars and race in designated heats.
Rules: Cars MUST be in compliance with the rules listed (See attachment) to be eligible for a prize! No exceptions!
(Of course there is the “Most illegal” category which you would be a shoe-in to win)
