Montana Council

On behalf of the Scouts, Parents and Leaders of Cub Scout Pack 4912, welcome to our web site!

Cub Scout Pack 4912 is based in Missoula, MT and is chartered through St. Anthony Parish. The pack serves Target Range School and their neighborhoods. The chartered partner is responsible for safe leadership and providing a meeting space for the pack, however, due to distance to the parish and the number of kids from the Target Range area, we meet at Target Range School. The pack enjoys the full support of the Target Range School leadership. Pack 4912 welcomes all 1st - 5th grade (or 7 - 11 years of age) boys for the purpose of: character development, spiritual growth, good citizenship, sportsmanship & fitness, family understanding, respectful relationships, personal achievement, friendly service, fun & adventure, and preparation for Boy Scouts. If the Scouting program sounds like a good fit for you, please visit the "contact the leaders" tab and send us your information. We would love to have you join us!

As a parent, you want your son to grow up and be a person of worth, self-reliance, dependability, and be a caring individual. Scouting has these same goals in mind for him. Since 1910 we've been weaving lifetime values into fun and educational activities designed to assist parents in strengthening character, and enhancing the physical fitness of youth. These values help your son make good decisions throughout his lifetime and give him confidence, as he becomes an adult leader of tomorrow. In a society where your son is often taught that winning is everything, Cub Scouting teaches him to "do his best" and to be helpful to others as expressed in the Cub Scout Motto and Promise. A Cub Scout den can provide your son with a group of boys his own age in which he can earn status and recognition. There he will also gain a sense of personal achievement for the new skills he learns.

·         Develop new educational skills such as writing and calculating.

·         Develop personal independence.
