Cub Scout Day Camp

at Pine Ridge Scout Camp on Little Grassy Lake (at the end of Pine Ridge Lane)

  Events typically include:

  • BB guns and archery (with instruction and supervision)
  • Nature program
  • Arts and crafts
  • Swimming (there are many lifeguards, and every boy must pass a test before going into the deeper section of the waterfront)

Mon-Wed, June 15-17  8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine.   If you can 't make that date, another scout district has a camp at Pine Ridge later in June.  Contact the Cubmaster for details on that camp.

Any Pack 251 Cub Scout can participate, and we will stay together as a pack.  One adult volunteer per 8 boys is required.  Please note any days you can volunteer on the appropriate section of the scout's application, and someone will be in touch with you to finalize the schedule.   Younger siblings (Pee Wees) are permitted to accompany parents if needed.

What does it cost?

$37.00 if the pack gets its registration in by May 15th, & $42 after that.

A lot of our boys and families worked hard on popcorn sales, so this year the pack can pay the fee.  But if parents are willing to pay the fee, it will leave more in our bank account for the events and service projects we do before next fall's popcorn sales.

When/how to sign up

  • Register at Pinewood Derby on Feb 27
  • Register at BSA Day of Service & Pack 251 End-of-year Picnic on May 10th

After that- the application says it's due 30 days before the camp, but you can drop them off  up until a week before camp (watch this web page to see whether spaces are in danger of filling up).  Fill out the following forms:
