About the Pack

Pack 569 is the largest Pack sanctioned by the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) in the Oley Valley.  Founded in October, 1948, Pack 569 has been in continuous service for over 58 years.  Our charter partner is Friedens Lutheran Church.  However, Pack 569 typically holds Den meetings at the Oley Youth Building on Main Street the first two weeks of the month.  Each Den meets on a different night in one of the rooms of the Oley Youth Building.  During the school year, Pack meetings are typically held on the fourth Wednesday of the month in the Oley Valley Elementary School Cafeteria.

Our goals are those of BSA: To improve character, instill good citizenship, encourage physical fitness and to be resourceful in solving problems. The themes we focus on during each scouting year include the core values of duty to God and Country, helping others, community service and self pride.  With the dedicated service of our leaders and parent volunteers, we work to provide these various elements of responsibility and character that are much too often overlooked in today's fast paced society.  Above all, we always work our best to keep it fun and interesting for the scouts.

Den and Pack events, trips and projects make for a wide variety of opportunities from learning to use tools and repair everyday items, to camping out and learning about nature. We demonstrate, by example, tolerance, dedication, perseverance and goal setting giving our scouts the real tools they’ll need once they leave our care.

Scouting is a challenging, positive, non-competitive adventure for all boys. In Pack 569, we do our best every day to provide a program in service of the scouts and our community. We welcome and encourage all families to take a closer look at Pack 569.  We accept new members at anytime of the year.  Don't hesitate to contact me at 610-781-3338 or mdwags@dejazzd.com if you wish to join or to find out more information about our Pack.
