Fall Family Camp 2016

Camp Shenandoah, Swoope VA

Pack 206 is going camping!

Scouts and their families are invited to the
Stonewall Jackson Area Council's Cub Fun Day

Followed by an overnight pack family camp


WhenSaturday, Sep 24- Sunday, Sep 25

Where:  Camp Shenandoah in Swoope, VA (map)

                We are in the Ross (formerly Baker) campsite

TimeRegistration 11:30AM, Activites begin at 12 PM
Campsite Setup at 4 PM (no earlier!)

Cost:  $10 per cub for Cub Fun Day
           *FREE* for overnight camping meals thanks to the hard work of the boys raising funds through PnP last year!

Activities Include:  Olympic Field Games, BBs, Archery, Water Bottle Rockets, and more!

BYOT (Bring you own tent)

Be prepared for a weekend of family fun!

We Need Volunteers! Pack camping is lots of fun, but we need help to make the trip as fun as possible for the kids. We need volunteers to help: run games, food preparation and cooking coordination, cook/clean

Tents: No children are allowed to sleep in tents with non-guardian adults or non-family children of the opposite sex

Food: Pack will provide food for Sat (D) and Sun (B). ***Peanuts will be around for trails mixes


Essentials:
  • Tent(s) – be sure to setup in advance to make sure all parts are present and operational!
  • Sleeping bag or blankets
  • Water bottles
  • Comfortable shoes for hiking
  • Flashlights
  • Sunscreen, insect repellent (non-aerosol)
  • Change of clothes
  • Folding chairs
  • Optional Gear: Sleeping mats or air mattresses
  • Campfire skewers for marshmallows and hot dogs
