Welcome to the Center For Teacher Innovation Framework for Teaching. Our Framework for Teaching coursework offers two pathways for individuals wishing to substitute or teach full time in a classroom.

Option 1: Teaching Permit for Statutory Leave (TPSL): The TPSL permit allows an employing agency to fill a position where the teacher of record is unable to teach due to statutory leave (medical or otherwise) with a temporary teacher of record for the duration of the leave. Participants can enter the self-paced program at any time and complete the program entirely online.

Option 2: Preservice Component for Education Specialist Intern Program: The Riverside County Office of Education, in partnership with Tulare County Office of Education, will be launching the Impact IE Intern Program, available to District Education Specialist Interns in Riverside County, in fall of 2018. The Framework for Teaching Preservice component meets the 160 hours of prerequisite coursework required of a potential intern prior to entering an intern program. Sessions will be offered in winter and spring 2018. Completion of the preservice component also qualifies candidates for the Teaching Permit for Statutory Leave.
