Our most popular programs:

Jazz Alive

From New Orleans Street Bands to swinging Dixieland Jazz, your students will be caught up in this energetic, interactive program featuring America 's musical gift to the world.

This program includes segments on “How to Build a Dixieland Jazz Band”, the re-creation of music as heard on an early phonograph, a “Call and Response” contest and an original blues composed “On the Spot” based on students' ideas. The highlight of the program is a Mardi Gras Parade with student actors performing with the musicians. Instruments featured in the JAZZ ALIVE! Program include clarinet, trumpet, banjo, drums, tuba, saxophone, piano, trombone, and bass.

Island Rhythm

Take a cruise to the Caribbean with Island Rhythm. This multi-cultural program provides a panoramic view of the history and culture of these islands through its enchanting music.

This interactive show presents Caribbean music from its origins in Africa through its influence on today's popular music. Musicians and students perform on an authentic African Djembe, steel drums and a variety of exotic percussion instruments. Many island artifacts and visual aids are utilized to enhance the performance.

Students sing along with simple melodies and engaging story telling is incorporated throughout the program. Students are selected to perform with the artists in a rhythm band performing on native island instruments.

Cajun Gumbo

Let the good times roll! Cajun Gumbo takes your students on a journey from French Acadiana to the bayous of Louisiana . Students will learn songs and catch phrases in French while performing traditional hand motions and call & response. They will witness in-depth demonstration of the accordion and the Cajun rub-board. Highlight of the program is a feature performance by students on the Cajun rub-board and a “Call and Response” lead by a student performer. 

Connecticut Brass

New England 's finest professional brass ensemble explores the history of brass instruments from animal horns to contemporary orchestral instruments. The group presents a “pops” format of light classics, rags, jazz, show tunes and flashy solo features. Members perform on tuba, trumpet, French horn, cornet, piccolo trumpet, euphonium, trombone, flugel horn & bass trombone. Highlights include construction of a “hose-horn” utilizing household items and performance of a Mozart Horn Concerto with hands-on assistance from an audience member.


Roots of Rock & Roll

Let's Rock Around the Clock as “Roots of Rock & Roll” takes your students back to the Birth of Rock & Roll and a salute to the 1950's. The kids will jive to the music of Chuck Berry, The Coasters, Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, Bill Haley & His Comets while looking at life in a changing America . A variety of visual aids and interactive activities are used to bring this exciting period of history to life in your school. Instruments featured in the program include bass, drums, keyboard, guitar, saxophones & lots of fun Vocals! 

Family Dance Party

Parents are amazed at their children's effortless involvement in our family dance parties. We combine music, comedy, contests, line dances, games, and raffles to provide an exciting, interactive family event. We run weekly family parties throughout the summer for numerous New England resorts & camps. Interactive programming is the key to our success.

Scheduling of Performances

 Our programs are 45-60 minutes in length and can be scheduled any day of the week and at any time of day. We also present full day workshops. Fees are based on the number of performers with the group size ranging from 1-5 performers. Reduced rates are offered for block bookings on the same date in the same town or school system. Neighboring towns are also encouraged to coordinate schedules to receive reduced rates. Please contact us to receive more information or to arrange for a performance at your school.
