Biography

I am an Associate Professor with the Discipline of Business Analytics at the University of Sydney, Australia. My primary research interests lie in data mining, machine learning and Artificial Intelligence. I was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney from 2018 to 2021. Prior to joining the University of Sydney, I worked as a Senior Research Scientist at CSIRO, leading innovative research on a wide range of research projects across various disciplines such as social media monitoring, healthcare, and environmental monitoring. I received the Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Economics from Xi’an Jiaotong University (XITU), China. I have published 70+ research papers in top-tier conferences and premier journals in the field of data mining and machine learning. I have served as Area Chair, Senior Program Committee, or Program Committee of the major conferences in my area including KDD, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, IJCAI, ICDM, CIKM, etc. I am an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Big Data from 2021.
