About MSA

The Microbiology Student Association is one of the accredited chartered clubs at CSUN. It is recognized by the national chapter of the American Society for Microbiology as an official student chapter.

  • Wine and Brewery Tours
    • San Antonio Winery
      • Saccharomyces cerevisiae is used for wine and beer brewing
    • Anheuser-Busch Brewery
      • Learned how the brewery worked in regards to microbiology
  • Clinical Microbiology Tour (Kaiser Permanente)
    • Observe the methods for the identification of clinically significant microorganisms

    • Lectures on the industrial, academic, and political aspects of microbiology
