Dear CSULB Faculty,

I would like to invite you to join us this at one o'clock,  Monday, February 23rd, 2009 (and every other Monday until Semester's end) in University Student Union 307 to attend the second CSULB Cyclists meeting of the semester.  We are set to move our agenda forward and are asking for your help in bringing more individuals into the fold.

CSULB Cyclists has four main planks in its campaign, the first of which—to provide a forum for bicyclists on campus—has been a moderate success.  We have a number of popular events, like Bike Check on the Quad.  Last January, we organized a seminar where club members became certified as cycling instructors and have a number of other educational events planned.  Finally, this letter is the product of our most important campaign plank: outreach.

While campus administrators have spent much time and energy producing our general plan, we still need to let them know that improvements for bicyclists must be included in the final draft.  Please let your students know about Monday’s meeting and tune into our blog for more.

Sincerely,

Kevin Flaherty
