Purattasi masam 2013 starts on September 17 and ends on October 16 as per traditional Tamil calendar. Purattasi Sani, Saturdays in Purattasi masam, are most auspicious days during which Purattasi Sani vratham is observed.

ALL DEVOTEES ARE REQUESTED TO COME AND GET THE BLESSINGS OF LORD SHANI ON THIS AUSPICIOUS MONTH EVERY SATURDAY viz 21/09, 28/09, 05/10, 12/10

Coventry Shri Sidhi Vinayagar Temple is the abode for Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is the first son of God Shiva and Goddess Parvati. He is one of the deities best-known and most widely worshipped in the Hindu pantheon. Hindu sects worship him regardless of affiliations. Devotion to Ganesha is widely diffused and extends to Jains, Buddhists, and beyond India.

Although he is known by many other attributes, Ganesha's elephant head makes him particularly easy to identify. Ganesha is widely revered as the Remover of Obstacles and more generally as Lord of Beginnings and Lord of Obstacles, patron of arts and sciences, and the deva of intellect and wisdom. He is honoured at the beginning of rituals and ceremonies and invoked as Patron of Letters during writing sessions. Several texts relate mythological anecdotes associated with his birth and exploits and explain his distinct iconography.
