Application of CSM in risk management and safety engineering (2010 - now)
Risk management is a complex process including risk identification, risk assessment, corective and preventive actions (CAPAs) and sustainability. There are many tools for risk assessment and hazard analysis. We develop a complex method for detail process and system analysis to identify the strong and weak points. The CSM is a very good tool for such analysis and also the visualization of weak parts of system. The main goal of this project is to establish general methodology for risk assessment, hazard analysis and accident investigation.
Data Mining and Analysis in Education (2009 - now)
The data mining and analysis is very important part of educational process. Without, we would live in informational chaos and there would be no meaningful education. The main aim of this project is to apply the analytical synthetic modelling and matrix modelling to process of data extracting and data analysis before it enters to the curricular process. We investigate novel ways of building a bridge between research and education.
Visualization of Logical and Process Data using Analytical-synthetic and Matrix modelling (2007 - now)
Analytical synthetic and matrix modelling is being used for textbook or lecture content creation. We investigate the application of these types of modelling also on visualization techniques. The analytical synthetic si based on connection of systemic and logical approach to information analysis that is why it can give us well-arranged and logical structure of information content. Thus we can use it for transparent visualization of logical data. In addidtion we can use it for modelling of processes with well-arranged and logical result (Prochazka, ZaskodnĂ˝, Tarabek, 2007). The matrix modelling provides a hierarchical organization of information with coherency among analyzed data. We study the value of these types of modelling for visualization.
Scientific and research metadata mining and modelling (2009 - now)
Metadata is defined as a data about data or information about information. It is very important to be able to find the relevant metadata for scientific and reseach purposes. To create a good quality review, we need to have a proper metadata mining procedure. We model the possibilities of metadata mining with changing of conditions. For this purpose we use analytical synthetic, matrix and triangular modelling. We investigate the effectivty of metadata mining in various types of scientific databases by changing of conditions (key words, system of searching, database, etc.).
We also investigate the metadata mining in education. This is very important for educators (teachers) and students. The better quality metadata mining, the better review and the better textbook, lecture and education. We also model the metadata mining within the frame of education and curricular process.
Analytical-synthetic Modelling of Cognitive Structures (2001 - 2008)
Analytical synthetic modelling is based on connection of systemic and logical approach to information analysis that is why it can give us well-arranged and logical structure of information content. We used it for modelling of cognitive structures in various types of areas. We built the large models of physics and chemistry. Then we modelled sigle parts of these two sciences. There were two books published according to the constructed models of the cognitive structure of physics and their efficiency as textbooks was tested.
