Will you please help us?

The CSI Office on Aging is working closely with the College of Southern Idaho Foundation to establish accounts for unrestricted funds and an endowment fund for the CSI Office on Aging.   The demand for services to keep seniors safe at home far exceeds the available resources.  We are working hard to develop additional funding resources to continue to expand our services as the numbers of seniors are growing.  Financial gifts are so critical to helping us meet the needs of the seniors in the Magic Valley.

The CSI Office on Aging assumes the major responsibility to develop and administer a comprehensive and coordinated system of services, and to serve as the advocate and focal point to maximize the quality of life for seniors in the Magic Valley.  The purposes of the OOA are as follows:

·        To increase the comprehensiveness and continuity of quality services to older persons and to optimize their successful integration into the community with programs that focus on developing the potential of seniors

·        To promote physical and mental well-being of seniors through nutrition, education, health and advocacy services

·        To aid in securing and maintaining the independence and dignity of seniors in their homes through removal of barriers to independence, and through provision of supportive services

·        To locate and identify the frail and vulnerable seniors and link them to supportive services through outreach and information and referral techniques

·        To increase transportation opportunities for the elderly through volunteer efforts and working with transportation providers to prevent exclusion and isolation of seniors from society or other relevant services and opportunities

·        To provide rewarding volunteer opportunities for seniors which enable them to assist other seniors and youth towards a more fulfilling and meaningful life

·        To advocate for the rights of seniors residing in long term care facilities and for those in the community to investigate complaints filed and to assure quality of care and access of services

To help us meet these needs, please send a tax-deductible gift to the CSI Foundation at:
