My life

  • I was born 20. January 1976. Budapest, Hungary
  • I finished my schools in Hungary. I have earned my MSc and PhD at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest.
  • Originally I studied molecular biology and during my pre-doctoral studies I started to be interested in bioinformatics. 
  • I moved to Finland in 2004 when I started my post-doctoral research work at University of Tampere.
  • In 2013 I have established HiDucator Oy, a company dedicated to bioinformatics teaching and research.

My family

My wife, Zsuzsanna, is a molecular biologist researching mechanism of autoimmune diseases. We have met during our studies at the university and we have married in 1999. We have four children, two boys and two girls.
