I live in Canada on a beautiful horse farm with my husband and two kidlets. I have always been interested in art and trained in it for quite a few years before settling into the world of fashion design. After the birth of my second kidlet I decided to stay home so we, as a family, could have the best life possible. After a while I missed the creativity of my former life and went looking for something that would get me excited. After a few false starts I found scrapbooking and everything just clicked. Aisles and aisles of colorful paper and a million do-dads and I was a goner.
Just over a year later I entered and won a spot to become a 2007 Memory Makers Master, a scrapbooking contest that Memory Makers magazine hosts. It was an amazing experience to work with them during my year long term with the magazine and I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. I still continue to create for them and I am now a Contributing Editor, writing a regular column called Color Swatch.
In 2008 my first book was published, Cut Loose: Break the Rules of Scrapbooking and I am currently waiting for my second book, The Scrapbooker's Handwriting Workshop, to hit the shelves in June 2009.
