AF Bread 10 Day Instructions

General Reminders:
-Do not use a metal spoon or bowl for mixing
-Do not refrigerate
-It is normal for the batter to thicken, bubble and ferment


Directions:
Day 1 - 5 : Squeeze the Bag
Day 6: Add 1C flour, 1C sugar, and 1C milk.  Put in a large Ziploc bag and squeeze until
mixed.
Day 7 - 9: Squeeze the bag.
Day 10: Add 1C flour, 1C sugar, and 1C milk to the batter in a large bowl.  Mix with a
wooden spoon or spatula.  Pour FOUR 1-cup starters into 1 gallon Ziploc bags.  Give these starters to 4 of your friends along with these directions.

Recipe for Baking (Day 10)
To the remaining batter add:
1 cup OIL (or 1/2 cup oil & 1/2 cup applesauce)
1 cup SUGAR
1 tsp VANILLA
3 EGGS
1 1/2 tsp BAKING POWDER
1/2 tsp SALT
2 cups FLOUR
1/2 cup MILK
1/2 tsp BAKING SODA
1 large box VANILLA PUDDING MIX
2 tsp CINNAMON

Baking Directions (Day 10)
Pour batter into two large, greased and sugared loaf pans.  Sprinkle with a little
cinnamon and sugar.  Bake at 325 degrees for 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out
clean.

***If you keep one starter for yourself, you’ll be baking every 10 days.
