Established in 2002, we have excellent purpose built facilities within the Croughton Village Hall. Access via a very large "off-street" car park to the front of the building provides a very safe environment for dropping-off and picking-up.

We have a high ratio of adults to children, allowing us to offer the individual attention to support the needs and development of each and every child. Our wide range of equipment is used to encourage pre-school skills, whilst remembering the value and fun in time spent playing.

Here is an extract from Ofsted:

Children have a wonderful time playing with their friends. They come in to the preschool happy and receive a warm and friendly welcome from the staff. They form strong bonds with the staff and make new and lasting friendships with their peers. Staff provide good levels of supervision, which helps children to feel safe and secure. They work hard to set up the resources and activities each day to create a stimulating environment.

Children demonstrate positive attitudes and show they are confident and inquisitive learners, who delight in making new discoveries. For instance, they create binoculars from cardboard tubes, and tell visitors they are going to use them to look for 'bears' in the woods. Children use tools and equipment skilfully, such as using knives to cut and slice vegetables for the soup they are making with staff. They know their colours and are able to name the vegetables. For example, they tell staff they have a 'big red pepper' and a 'hard orange carrot'.

*** Your friendly village preschool is now open five days ***

Here at Croughton Pre-School we offer a well resourced and stimulating environment both inside and out. We help the children to achieve their potential by offering positive and exciting challenges and experiences where they can learn and develop through play at their own pace.

During term time, Croughton Pre-school is open 5 days a week:

Monday to Friday 9am - 3pm

For the morning sessions, there is the option for you to provide your child with a packed lunch that can be enjoyed at the end of each of our morning sessions in our 'Lunch Club'. This is held from 12.00 to 13:00 Monday - Friday.

Adjacent to the preschool is a secure outside play area containing a range of equipment including swings, slide, see-saw, roundabout and climbing frames.
