Teacher Bios

Mrs. Deibel

Valerie Deibel is excited to start her fifth year of teaching third grade at Crossroads Academy this fall. She graduated from UMKC's urban education program with a bachelors in elementary education. She loves to spend her time gardening, cooking, playing board games with her husband and playing w her little dog Albus. Her favorite things to learn about are Presidents, Kansas City's neighborhoods and trying new recipes! 

Mrs. Moore

Jacque Moore has taught 13 years in the private and now public setting. She received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from St. Louis University and her Master's degree in Education from Webster University. Mrs. Moore has lived in Kansas City for most of her life. In her free time she enjoys reading, yoga, writing, watching movies, going out to eat, and spending time with family and friends. She also has a little black dog named Hosner. 

Ms. Winston

Alecia Winston is starting her second year in 3rd grade at Crossroads Central Street. She is a graduated member of the Kansas City Teacher Residency program and is working towards her Masters degree in Urban Education. She also graduated from South Dakota State University with a bachelors degree in Psychology. She moved last year to Kansas City from Phoenix, Arizona. Her favorite activities are reading, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her younger brothers and sisters. She also has a pet tortoise named Leo!
