Sorry for the delay in posting a new message and before I go any further I would like to wish all our supporters a Happy New Year, yes it may be a bit late but we seem to be having problems with the web site, and not being that knowledgeable with IT issues Ive not been able to sort things out but suffice to say it seems to be working again!!!! Must be the gremlins causing problems, but it is of note that I started to get text messages from 'concerned well wishers' asking if we had gone bust!!!! I can assure you that is not the case, we might not be in the most healthy of predicaments but we a long way from going BANG. It does amaze me where rumour and innuendo come from regarding this Club it just seems to attract that sort of thing. On the footballing front, you will have seen many changes in the last few games with comings and goings of players as Peter tries to salvage something from what can only be described as a bit of a disaster but that needs to be tempered against what we are trying to do at the Club and that is steady the ship and try and move forward on an even footing. Some may disagree with the idea of doing this and I can understand where they are coming from but the Club needs to find a way of creating stability in order to push ahead with options that are for the benefit of the Club. Its simply not the answer to keep throwing money at a problem that isn't going to resolve itself, it merely makes it even harder for the next person who steps into the breach. We have all seen what money will buy in the Northern League and we have all seen what happens when the money goes, we simply cant allow money to be the ruler of how good a club is. Its about the people, the community, the supporters, the people who pay each week to see their team perform, the players need to understand this and respond as well as they can, players need to be supporters of the Club not just waiting for financial hand outs and then moving to another club when a better offer comes in. We have loyal supporters, what we need is loyal players, and that is something that I and the management team are working very hard on, don't get me wrong we have got some very loyal and dedicated players amongst our ranks but we need to build upon this for the future and not just for the present, I will be the first to put my hand up and say mistakes have been made this season, but generally we all knew it was going to be a very tough season, and that has been proven to be right. We have at times brought in players thinking it was the best option and it didn't work out for many reasons, some management decisions have been wrong, and that includes the committee, but they have all been made in the hope of making the Club a better club and we have learnt by those lessons. We know it is going to be tough to avoid what some have said is evitable from the beginning of the season but until it is mathematically impossible I will be fighting along side the management team to keep us up
