Kieron Bennett to step down as Chairman

posted 22 Mar 2014 02:54 by Ian Todd

It is with regret that the club announces that Kieron Bennett has decided to step down as Chairman of Crook Town AFC at the end of the season. Kieron has been involved with the club for over fifteen years performing the roles of Secretary and Chairman, but his passion for the club meant that he often took on other duties. However he now feels that the time is right for him to step aside and concentrate on his career and private life.
On behalf of the committee I would like to thank Kieron for all the time and hard work he has put into the club over the years and wish him all the best for the future.

Crook Town AFC 125th Anniversary

posted 1 Feb 2014 08:11 by Ian Todd

We would like to invite you to attend an evening with us to mark the opening of celebrations of 125 years of Crook Town AFC.  The event is being held on Friday 2nd May at the Sir Tom Cowie Millfield ground at 7:30pm in a marquee on the pitch. The event is to show our appreciation for players, officials, sponsors and fans past and present and allow everyone a chance to catch up and reminisce.  There will be a display of photographs from the club’s history as well as a DVD presentation.

This event marks the start of a series of events celebrating 125 years of the club.  We have other activities planned such as involvement in this year’s carnival, a ‘best dressed’ shop window contest amongst the local traders and a ‘design a poster’ contest in the local schools.

We would appreciate if you could attend this event so we can show our gratitude for making Crook Town AFC what it is today.

New First Team Coach

posted 23 May 2013 12:02 by Ian Todd

Gary Pearson is pleased to announce that he is bringing in former Darlington player and school of excellence coach Chris Hughes (Craig Hughes brother) as Crook Town AFC First Team Coach. Chris has had to retire early from football, he was lately at Shildon FC. Chris holds a UEFA B coaching licence and as well as coaching the first team he will also be helping Gary to set up an academy to run alongside the club. Obviously the committee are pleased with this news and once again its shows the clubs intentions as we move forward into the First Division.
