Family grave site
Family grave site
Lāwa‘i, Kaua‘i. My Uncle C passed away last month and so I made a day trip to the island of Kaua‘i to attend his funeral. After the services I made a stop at Lāwa‘i Cemetery to pay my respects at my mother-in-law's family grave site. My Uncle C had a house just down the road from the cemetery. I recalled spending a number of fun-filled weeks at Uncle's home during the summer when I was a kid. As I drove past the house, it looked almost the same. The new owners have repainted the house and planted different plants. But I can still picture in my mind Uncle C's huge '62 Chevy in the garage, the koi pond filled with tadpoles, and my Aunty K's cats stalking around the yard. Le Bambole Mk. II Pinhole Camera. Kodak 160 Portra VC. Exposure: f/256 and 3 seconds.

Bruce and Brandon Lee Grave Site
On my trip to Seattle a few years ago for OOPSLA, Tom the Architect and I went on a pilgrimage to Bruce Lee's grave. This was one of the things on my "do before I die" list. I think this was around the November timeframe, explaining the flowers by the grave. If I remember correctly there was also incense there as well.
