About Us

The Chesapeake Region Law Enforcement Accreditation Alliance (CRLEAA) serves Maryland, Delaware and DC
agencies.  CRLEAA is a not-for-profit organization formed in the 1980's, as a network of law enforcement
professionals supporting Accreditation through effective communication, mutual cooperation, and shared resources.

CRLEAA recognizes and supports the concept of accreditation for law enforcement agencies as a means of
enhancing the quality of law enforcement services within the region.

CRLEAA provides to all members; current and relative information pertaining to national accreditation; training in
standard compliance; and accessibility to applicable policies and written directives pertinent to law enforcement
activities.

CRLEAA meets four times a year in various locations to facilitate information sharing and provide timely and relevant
professional training.  Currently, there are 58 paid member agencies in CRLEAA.

Please visit the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) website for more information on the accreditation processes supported by CRLEAA.
