Venue, Facilities and Tickets

Over the past two years we have worked very hard to improve the cinema experience for our audience and are delighted with the results.  In the winter of 2014 we installed a new permanent screen above the stage at the Town Hall, and in the summer of 2015 we purchased a new state-of-the-art sight and sound system including:

  • NEC 5200 lumens projector
  • Denon professional  DVD/Blu-ray player
  • Cambridge Audio DAC (Digital Audio Converter)
  • 1000 watt Yamaha speakers
  •        Microphone for announcements

We are also now in a position to provide comfortable seating for everyone thanks to twenty additional conference chairs and thirty cushions for the hard plastic seats.

Our thanks go to the following organisations that have helped make all this possible: British Film Institute Neighbourhood Cinema Fund, Wiltshire Council Area Fund, Cricklade Town Hall Committee, Cricklade Red Lion Charity Fund and Cricklade Fun Run Committee.

We’re easy to find – films are shown in the Town Hall, High Street, Cricklade SN6 6AE. There is a small car park, plus on-street parking nearby. There is space for about 100 people to watch the films in comfort. There are loos, and there is central heating for the cold winter nights.

Cricklade Cinema!

Tickets cost £4 per film. A season ticket is £10, which covers three films. They can be bought on the night, or in advance from the

Town Council office at 113 High St, Cricklade, Swindon, Wiltshire SN6 6AE.

We want Cricklade Cinema! experiences to be as enjoyable as possible. So as well as showing films, we invite you to have a complimentary chocolate or two. There is also ice cream for sale. We sell locally sourced ice creams at £1:50 each. We do not sell drinks but if you wish to bring your own, then please do - all we ask is that you take away the empties when you leave.  We also supply you with notes on the film being screened, telling you what it’s about, who’s in it, and some expert opinion from film reviewers.
