College Application Workshop

Thursday, July 26, 6:30 - 8 pm
  High school students and their parents are invited to join Dawn Schildhorn, the author of 'Top Secret Guide to Getting Admitted to College', which is a currently the best seller teen college guide on Amazon, for a complimentary College Application Workshop.

The workshop will review the college admission process outlined in the book, including things that matter the most. She will also answer any questions you might have.  

Astronomy Club

Wednesday, July 26, 4:30 - 5:30 pm
   The Astronomy Club will introduce its members to the solar system by giving them an up close encounter with the stars and planet using telescopes. The goal of the club is to create interest in astronomy.

Java Programming

Monday July 24 and Wednesday, July 26
2 pm - 3 pm
  Students in grades 5th through 8th are invited to join us for a series of programming classes in Java. This class will go over the basics of Java and teach the main rules and syntax, Please bring your own laptop (windows or mac) or tablet that is capable of downloading Java. No ipads please.

Kids entering grades 2 and up are invited to join us on Wednesday, August 2 from 6:00 to 7:00PM to learn about renewable energy by building models of windmills and solar panels with Legos!

Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Ages 2-6 

Bring your favorite stuffed animal for a sleepover!  Wear your pajamas to the library to hear bedtime stories, make a craft, and tuck in your stuffed animal! Return to the library the following morning to pick up your friend and see what adventures they had

Drop off on Monday, July 24 from 6:00 – 7:00PM; pick up Tuesday, July 25 at 11:00AM.

This Month's Art Display...

... is presented by Susan Laurita who grew up in Cresskill and went to Merit Memorial and Cresskill High School. She is a graduate of The Copper Union in NYC and has been an artist for as far back as she can remember, drawing on daily basis as a child with her neighbor friend who's mom encouraged her to go to art school. Since then she has worked in many mediums including painting, printmaking, ceramics, jewelry making, costume design and performance art. She currently resides in San Francisco Bay Area.

  What happens after we die? Do we survive in some form? Do we remain here on earth or do we go someplace else? Is there a Heaven? Is there a Hell? Can the departed remain struck here on Earth? Are there other In-Between Realms? People have wrestled with these questions since the dawn of time. We invite you to explore this topic with us and share your own beliefs and experiences regarding Ghosts and Hauntings.
