Use Google Apps to create digital novel study groups, with a school from around the globe or even another class in your own school. In this session, we will look at how the use ofGoogle Docs, Google Hangout, Google Comments, Edmodo, Twitter and a few other digital tools, can help you formulate an exciting, new way of crafting novel studies. As studies have shown, students reading novels at their own level is a powerful learning step that enables students to truly engage with their reading. Thus, being able to group students online with others who are at their same reading level, but in a different country, provides them with opportunities to exchange cultural perspectives in addition to discussing their novel. Digital novel studies are a wonderful way to introduce students to the amazing adventure of digital collaboration through reading.
