4:00 pm Craig Kelly Prototype Facility Tour at Burton Snowboards / SwitchBack Tasting Room

After program drinks at Switchback Tasting Room host by ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain (first round complimentary of ECHO)

Burton Snowboards   80 Industrial Parkway    Burlington, VT 05401

Switchback Brewing  160 Flynn Ave,  Burlington, VT 05406

Come tour Burton Snowboard’s cutting edge, 10,000 square feet Craig Kelly Prototype Facility. At Craig's, Burton engineers can experiment with new ideas and feedback that constantly flow into Burton from pro riders, engineers, dealers and customers. Not only can Craig's create a new board in a matter of hours, there's also a rapid-prototype machine that allows engineers to build a plastic binding part overnight and test it on snow the next morning. Craig's also features a machine shop, so engineers can create and test custom tooling parts and manufacturing processes.

Following the tour, join ECHO at nearby Switchback Brewing to learn more about the center’s partnership with Burton, which has produced a unique Science of Snowboarding program for K-2nd graders and Fall micro-exhibit.
