Brownies with Crust!
1 family size brownie mix (9×13 inch size)
2 sticks softened butter
½ cup granulated sugar
2 Tablespoons packed brown sugar
1 ¾ cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
45-50 Hersheys Kisses, any flavor you like, unwrapped (try Peppermint or Mint Truffle at Christmas!)
1 cup of white chocolate chips and/or sprinkles
1. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions, set batter aside. Mix butter and sugars until creamy. Add flour and salt until combined. Press shortbread crust into 9 x 9 inch pan (or 11 x 7 inch, if you have it). Top crust with 45-50 kisses, then pour brownie batter evenly over top of kisses. (If you want a sprinkle-only topping, add your sprinkles to the top of the brownie batter now.) Bake for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick comes clean from center. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
2. If you want to frost them, melt the white chocolate chips (or you can use leftover Kisses). You can melt them in the microwave (using a microwave safe bowl, heat at 50% power in 30 second increments, stirring each time) or in a double boiler. Spread onto cooled brownies and top with sprinkles, if desired.
