Relay Game

Our concept for the relay game of crazy foot golf is as follows (using two buckets as with the TARGET GAME):

  • Position two upright 10 litre buckets say 5m plus apart (if playing outdoors use sand etc to weigh down the buckets). Place several different coloured/marked small balls in one of the buckets (soft coloured play variety when indoors or tennis balls when outdoors).
  • Print two copies of the 9 flag download below and attach to the outside of each bucket. The 9 flag download promote 9 very important positive attributes (also called fruit of the spirit in Christianity and by Christians).
  • Divide competitors into two or more groups and line up group competitors in lines behind one bucket (equal number of competitors required in each group).
  • Each group takes a different ball from the ball bucket (the ball for each group needs to be distinguishable by colour or marking) and place their group ball on the floor either beside the LHS or RHS of the ball bucket (each group competitor kickoffs from the same group kickoff place).
  • The object of the game is for each group player in turn to dribble kick their ball from beside the start bucket to strike the other bucket before dribble kicking to strike the start bucket. The relay game starts by the first competitor from each group starting to dribble kick at the same time.
  • After dribbling their group ball back to strike the start bucket the next group competitor takes their turn and the previous competitor goes to the back of their group line.
  • The relay game continues until all the competitors in one of the relay groups complete their dribble kicks back to the start bucket. The winner is simply the relay group that finishes first.
  • Consider giving each competitor a free sticker (a free grape/s might be another option).

RELAY GAME RULES FOR CRAZY FOOT GOLF:

  1. Two or more relay groups are chosen with equal competitors in each group. The floor on the LHS and RHS of the ball bucket is the kickoff position for competitors who line up in group lines behind the ball bucket.
  2. The first person in each relay group take a different coloured or marked ball and place in the kickoff position for their group (beside the ball bucket).
  3. The object of the game is for each group competitor to dribble kick their group ball to strike the other bucket before dribble kicking back to strike the start bucket.
  4. The relay game starts with the first competitor in each relay group kicking off at the same time.
  5. After a competitor strikes the start bucket their next group competitor begins their turn with the previous competitor returning to the back of their group line.
  6. The relay game continues until all the competitors in one of the relay groups complete their dribble kicks back to the start bucket. The winner is simply the relay group that finishes first.
We invite schools, churches, youth groups etc. to uptake CRAZY FOOT GOLF that has been devised to promote 9 very important positive attributes (also called fruit of the spirit in Christianity and by Chriatians).

Old versions:

Our concept for the relay game of crazy foot golf is as follows (basically a relay version of the TARGET GAME):

When playing indoors take one self standing long handled dust pan and place against a wall with the dust pan facing away from the wall. When playing outdoors take one long handled garden fork* and insert into the ground (usually grass or beach). The single dustpan or garden fork acts as 9 target holes (saves using 9 dustpans or 9 forks to create 9 holes).
Print the 9 flag download below and attach to the top of the dust pan or fork handle (the single self standing long handled dust pan or single upright long handled garden fork then becomes your 9 golf holes). The 9 flag download promotes 9 very important positive attributes (also called fruit of the spirit in Christianity and by Christians).
Say 5m away from your dustpan or fork hole place a bowl of two small balls (soft coloured play variety when indoors or tennis balls when outdoors).
Divide competitors into two or more groups and line up group competitors in lines behind the ball bowl (doesn't matter if the relay groups have different numbers of competitors).
Each group takes a different ball from the ball bowl (the ball for each group needs to be distinguishable by colour or marking) and place their group ball on the floor either beside the LHS or RHS of the ball bowl (each group competitor kickoffs from the same group kickoff place).
The winner of the relay game is group that kicks the most number of holes-in-one (either within a fixed time of play or when a target number of holes-in-one is scored).
Competitors at the front of their group lines each kick once towards the target hole before retrieving their group ball and placing on their side of the ball basket ready for their next group competitor (each competitor returns to the back of their group line after retrieving and placing their group ball for the next competitor).
The relay game continues for a fixed period of time or until the first group kicks a set number of holes-in-one.
Consider giving each person completing a game a free sticker (a free grape/s might be another option).
RELAY GAME RULES FOR CRAZY FOOT GOLF:

Two or more relay groups are chosen with approximately equal competitors in each group. The floor on the LHS and RHS of the ball bowl is the kickoff position for competitors who line up in group lines behind the ball bowl.
The first person in each relay group take a different coloured or marked ball and place in the kickoff position for their group (beside the ball bowl).
The target hole is either a long handled dustpan (indoors) or long handled garden fork inserted into the ground (outdoors). The object of the game is a competition to see which relay group can score the most holes-in-one (occurs when single kicks touch either a dustpan or garden fork).
The relay game starts with the first competitor in each relay group kicking off at the same time.
Each time it is a competitors turn they have one single kick towards the target hole and the aim is to score a hole-in-one with each kick. A hole-in-one occurs when a ball touches the dustpan (indoors) or garden fork (outdoors).
After each round of single kicks each group competitor must retrieve their group ball and place on the group kickoff position ready for their next relay group competitor (the competitor then goes to the back of their relay group line). Each time the competitor at the front of their group line each kickoff at the same time (as soon as all relay group balls are in the kickoff position).
The relay game continues for either a set period of time or until one group scores a set number of holes-in-one (the winning group is the group scoring the most holes-in-one).

* Avoid accidents when using garden forks.

Our concept for the relay game of crazy foot golf is as follows (basically a relay version of the TARGET GAME):

  • Position two upright 10 litre buckets say 5m plus apart (if playing outdoors use sand etc to weigh down the mop buckets). One bucket is called the ball bucket and the other bucket becomes the target bucket and a handful of small balls is placed in the ball bucket (soft coloured play variety when indoors or tennis balls when outdoors).
  • Print two copies of the 9 flag download below and attach to the outside of each bucket. The 9 flag download promote 9 very important positive attributes (also called fruit of the spirit in Christianity and by Christians).

  • The object of the game is for each group player in turn to kick their ball once from beside the ball bucket towards the other target bucket (aiming to strike the target bucket). Striking the targeted mop bucket with a single kick is called a hole-in-one.The relay game starts by the first competitor from each group kicking at the same time.
  • After each single kick each player dribbles their ball back to beside the ball bucket ready for the next competitor in their group. After dribbling their group ball back to the ball bucket each competitor goes to the back of their group line.
  • The relay game continues for a fixed period of time or until the first group kicks a set number of holes-in-one (one kick bucket strikes).
  • The winner of the relay game is the group that has kicked the most number of holes-in-one (one kick bucket strikes) at the end of the game.
  • Consider giving each person completing a game a free sticker (a free grape/s might be another option).
