Course Game

Our concept for the course game of crazy foot golf is as follows:
  • Space out along the perimeter of your space 9 upright 10 litre buckets (space the buckets no more than one single ball kick apart). Print the 9 flag download below, cut out flags and attach a flag to each bucket in a consecutive 1-9 order (the upright buckets then become your 9 golf holes). Each paper/card flag for each hole promotes a very important positive attribute (also called fruit of the spirit in Christianity and by Christians).
  • Give each competitor one small ball (soft coloured play variety for indoors or a tennis ball for outdoors) and tell them that the kick off for each hole is beside the preceding bucket hole.
  • From beside each bucket each competitor is allowed to kick their ball once towards the next target bucket hole. After each single kick towards a target bucket competitors must dribble kick their ball to beside the targeted hole ready to start the play the next hole
  • The object of the game is to strike the targeted bucket hole with one single kick (whenever a one ball kick bucket strike occurs it is called a hole-in-one). Instruct each competitor to count the number of holes-in-one they score if any.
  • If multiple competitors are playing they should all kickoff together towards each bucket hole.
  • The winner is simply the competitor that scores the most number of holes-in-one (single ball kick bucket strikes).
  • The short game consists of a complete circuit of 9 holes (one round of 9 holes) and the long game consists of 18 holes (two rounds of 9 holes).
  • Consider giving each person completing a game a free sticker (a free grape/s might be another option).
COURSE GAME RULES FOR CRAZY FOOT GOLF:
  1. Each competitor is given one small ball (soft coloured play variety for indoors or tennis ball for outdoors) and each hole is an upright 10 litre bucket.
  2. The tee off for each bucket hole is on the ground beside the preceding bucket hole.
  3. Competitors are only allowed to kick their ball between tee offs and holes.
  4. The object of the game is to strike each bucket with a single ball kick from beside the preceding bucket hole (a single kick bucket strike is called a hole-in-one).
  5. When multiple competitors are playing they should all kick-off together towards each hole. After their single kick towards targeted bucket holes competitors must dribble their ball to beside the targeted bucket hole in readiness to play the next bucket hole.
  6. Each competitor keeps a tally if any of holes-in-one (when bucket strikes occur after single kicks).
  7. A competitor is disqualified if they loose their ball or if their ball cannot be retrieved.
  8. The winner is the competitor that scores the most holes-in-one (if any) after 9 bucket holes (short game) or after 18 bucket holes (long game after two rounds).

We invite schools, churches, youth groups etc. to uptake CRAZY FOOT GOLF that has been devised to promote 9 very important positive attributes (also called fruit of the spirit in Christianity and by Christians).

Old version:

Our concept for the course game of crazy foot golf is as follows:
  • Space out along the perimeter of your space either 9 self standing long handled dust pans (when playing indoors) or 9 long handled garden forks* inserted into ground (when playing outdoors on beach grass).  Print the 9 flag download below, cut out flags and attach a paper/card flag to the top of each dust pan or fork handle in a consecutive 1-9 order (the self standing long handled dust pans or garden forks then become your 9 golf holes). Each paper/card flag for each hole promotes a very important positive attribute (also called fruit of the spirit in Christianity and by Christians).
  • Give each competitor one small ball (soft coloured play variety for indoors or a tennis ball for outdoors) and tell them that the kick off for each hole is beside the preceding dust pan or garden fork hole. Instruct each competitor to count the number of kicks it takes to complete the course (kicking their ball into each dust pan hole or to touch each fork).
  • The short game consists of a complete circuit of 9 holes (one round of 9 holes) and the long game consists of 18 holes (two rounds of 9 holes). Tell each competitor to keep a tally of their number of kicks (this allows you if required to declare the competitor with the lowest number of kicks as the winner/s).
  • The above outlines the singles version of the course game with each person keeping individual tallies of their total number of kicks to complete the course. However, a multiple player version of the course could also be played with each person taking it in turns to kick towards each hole (rather than following one another around the course). In the multiple player version the winner of each hole could/would be the person completing the hole in the fewest number of kicks (the hole would be drawn by players with equal kicks). In the multiple player version the winner of the game could/would be the person winning most holes (the game would be drawn by players scoring equal hole wins).
  • Consider giving each person completing a game a free sticker (a free grape/s might be another option).
COURSE GAME RULES FOR CRAZY FOOT GOLF:
  1. Each competitor is given one small ball (soft coloured play variety for indoors or tennis ball for outdoors).
  2. Each hole is either an upright long handled dustpan (indoors) or a long handled garden fork inserted into the ground (outdoors).
  3. The tee off for each hole is on the ground beside the preceding hole (a long handled dustpan when indoors or a garden fork when outdoors).
  4. Competitors are only allowed to kick their ball between tee offs and holes.
  5. Competitors complete each hole once their ball either touches or crosses the leading edge of a dust pan (indoors) or touches a fork inserted into the ground (outdoors).
  6. Each competitor keeps a tally of their number of kicks for each hole.
  7. Each competitor must move on to the next hole after a maximum number of say 10 kicks per hole (a hole score of 10 is taken if a competitor does not finish a hole in less than 10 kicks).
  8. If a competitors ball is unplayable they can move their ball to a nearby playable position.
  9. A competitor is disqualified if they loose their ball or if their ball cannot be retrieved.
  10. In the single player version of the game only one person at a time is playing a hole (other players cannot start a hole until the previous player finishes the hole). In the single player version of the course game the winner/s is the competitor with the lowest total number of kicks (after either 9 holes in the short game or 18 holes in the long game).
  11. In the multiple player version of the game individual players take it in turns to kick their ball towards each hole (multiple players are playing the same hole). In the multiple player version the winner of each hole could/would be the player finishing the hole in the least number of kicks (the hole could/would be drawn if players have equal kicks). In the multiple player version the game winner could/would be the player winning the greatest number of holes (the game could/would be drawn if players win equal holes).

We invite schools, churches, youth groups etc. to uptake CRAZY FOOT GOLF that has been devised to promote 9 very important positive attributes (also called fruit of the spirit in Christianity and by Christians).

* Avoid accidents when using garden forks.
