Cranford Golf Club

The Cranford Golf Club (CGC) was organized in November 1989 as a “Golf Club Without Real Estate” and has been affiliated with the Metropolitan Golf Association (MGA) since its founding.

The CGC began play in 1990 with the following objectives for its membership, which are still current:

  • To provide an opportunity to compete in organized tournament competition.
  • To obtain a USGA handicap.
  • To educate golfers on the Rules of Golf.

During each season the CGC offers a variety of competitive tournaments on weekend dates beginning in mid-March and concluding in late October at a variety of golf courses located primarily throughout New Jersey.

Tournaments featured during each season are the Club Championship Tournament, a Member-Member match play tournament and a 36-hole Member-Member stroke play event. Please refer to the Schedule link on our home page for complete details regarding the CGC Tour.

The MGA provides our members with handicapping services (updated handicaps are issued every two weeks) in addition to offering certain tournament competitions and rules seminars.

Membership for the current season will be accepted throughout the season.
