Newsstand of the Future
These days, it’s far easier to imagine negative scenarios for the future – global climate change, peak oil, mass starvation, pestilence, disease, political unrest, even the collapse of the Western civilization.  Pessimism can be a self-fulfilling prophecy, of course, so we spent time imagining positive, if challenging, prospects for the future.  How can we turn predicaments into opportunities?  How might America maintain its role as a leader while cooperating with other countries?  Can we solve our problems without first dreaming of solutions?
