Collective Bargaining as an Instrument of Social Change

David Jacobs is an Adjunct Professor at the Kogod School of Business at American University in Washington DC and has previously taught at Morgan State University, Hood College, and the Flint and Ann Arbor campuses of the University of Michigan.  He has published a series of articles and books on human nature, pragmatism, union strategy, and social invention. Much of his work, including his new edited volume from Cornell University Press, The Disunited States of America: Employment Relations Systems in Conflict, explores differentiation in national institutions and opportunities for progressive, local experimentation.
