The Challenge Program on Water and Food has recently formulated the Research for Development Program for the Ganges Basin.  This 5-project program addresses this particular basin development challenge:

"Increasing the Resilience of Agricultural and Aquaculture Systems in the Coastal Areas of the Ganges Delta"

The five projects under this program will be commissioned to pre-identified institutions that have proven track record in research in the Ganges basin area.  An invitation to send expressions of interest (EOI) will be sent to these institutions by 11 October 2010, and the CPWF will expect submission of the EOIs by 29 November 2010.

The CPWF is pleased to announce the commissioning of Phase II research in the Volta and the Limpopo basins.

In each of these two basins, research will be organized into five distinct projects. Each project will be implemented by a research consortium guided by a lead organization. Invitations have been extended to eight organizations to submit by 25 March 2010 expressions of interest (EOI) for project leadership.
