Welcome to the Cardiopulmonary & Respiratory Physiology Laboratory at the University of Oregon. We study the heart, lung and breathing. Oxygen is critical for sustaining life and the entryway for oxygen into the human body is the lung. Our research program is focused on how the dynamic regulation of blood flow through the lungs affects human physiology and performance as it relates to pulmonary gas exchange efficiency, pulmonary artery pressure and right heart function in health and disease.
The lab is not currently accepting undergraduate students for either volunteer positions or for honors college thesis work.
If you are interested in participating as a subject in one of our studies please contact 541-346-8379.
