Convert a dmg to iso : To convert a DMG file to an ISO image, type the following command at your terminal window:     hdiutil convert /path/to/filename.dmg -format UDTO -o /path/to/savefile.iso

Replace /path/to/filename.dmg with the path and name of the existing .DMG file, and replace /path/to/savefile.iso with the desired path and name for the converted image. 

Enable "Cut Items" in the Finder : To enable "cut items" in the finder, type the following command at your terminal window and restart Finder:   defaults write com.apple.finder AllowCutForItems 1 

 (New)"Start" menu in Finder : A very simple way to add something like a "Start" menu for your applications in Finder is to Drag & Drop your "Applications" folder on the dock. Then right click on your shortcut and then at "View content as" menu select "List". Now each time you single click on this shortcut it will display your "Applications" folder contents. (Only for 10.5 - Leopard)
