About Mariners

 Cowtown Mariners

“A Singles’ Sailing Club”

We would like to extend our greetings and invite you to get acquainted with us.  Our purpose is to provide single sailors and those who want to become sailors the opportunity to share time, friendship, fun and adventures of all kinds, both on land and water.
Sailing experience and boat ownership are not necessary to belong to the Cowtown Mariners.  We have members with boats, without boats, borrowing boats, chartering boats and dreaming about boats.  Our membership varies from seasoned racers to first time sailors.  We offer sailing classes from the beginner level to the more advanced navigation and piloting courses.
Our sailing trips range from day sails, moonlight sails and weekend sails on local lakes to our more extravagant Caribbean cruises.  We sail everything from bathtubs to the newest cruisers!
The Cowtown Mariners also enjoy many landlubber activities such as volleyball, shrimp boils, pool parties, wine and beer tasting parties, hot tub parties, house parties and just plain parties.  Yes, you guessed it, we do like to party!
If this sounds interesting and fun to you, please join us.  We meet every Thursday evening from 5:30 to 8:00 P.M. at various locations in the Fort Worth/Dallas Metroplex.  See our Club Calendar for this week's location.
We are a nonprofit recreational club with membership dues currently running $30 per year.  Individual activities and educational classes usually have a small, separate fee.
Our club officers are nominated and elected from the general membership to insure active and well-organized leadership.  We have several committees that are always looking for new volunteers, so you can become active in the club right away.
For more information, please e-mail us at CowtownMariners(atsign)hotmail(dot)com.
Hope to see you soon!
