Jones had a stellar freshman season at Kentucky and no one could have blamed him had he entered his name in the 2011 Draft. Likely due to the lingering labor uncertainty, Jones opted to return to Lexington for a second season. He put up solid numbers across the board, but possibly the most impressive were his combined 3 blocks and steals per game.
Jones isn't a polished prospect by any means. He doesn't have a go-to move or area offensively, but produces effectively without always being the number one option. His motor and production were a little inconsistent as a freshman, but Kentucky's depth in '11-'12 should be a real test of his will and resolve. His versatility and left-handedness lead many to believe he'll be similar to Lamar Odom at the next level.
