HPER2270 Health & Wellness


Welcome

This course was developed to introduce you to basic concepts of nutrition, lifestyle choices and health practices that will help you develop healthy habits that lead to a lifetime of wellness.  The focus in this course is on your personal health and wellness and includes an analysis of your current diet, wellness habits, goal setting, and work on your personal wellness goals.

Content in the course is provided online via online and printed material.  Course requirements include the completion of weekly assignments, discussions, and quizzes as well as two major exams, a Wellness Journal and a Diet Analysis project.  The course is completed within the Desire2Learn learning environment.


Course Catalog Description

This course gives students an insight into the why, what, and how we can develop a healthy lifestyle. Students will develop a personal plan of action that includes nutrition, physical fitness, stress management, emotional, and spiritual well being.

Online Requirements

Students are expected to login to the course a minimum of two times per week throughout the semester.  You are not required to be online at any particular time or days.


On-campus Requirements

There are no on-campus requirements.  There are no proctored exams.
