We Courceys Athletics Club would like to thank all parents, that travelled with there children to various events & for dropping them off for training throughout the year.
And we would also like to thank the children who came down to train & especially those who competed on behalf of Courceys AC.

Cross Country

Sunday 12th November saw Colin Roche travel to Tipperary to compete in the Munster Cross Country Championships.
Colin came in 25th place, and being a member the the Cork team who were placed 3rd overall. Colin came home with a medal.

Sunday 22nd we were lucky enough to have Fionan (U10) & Ordhan (U12) Smith travel to Ennis Co Clare  to compete in the Munster Cross Country Championships.
Ordhan ran a super race. Massive congratulations to Fionan coming 1st.

Sunday 15th October 10 athletes travelled to Glenville on a very wet & cold day,to compete in the County cross country championships.
Doing themselves proud were Ruairi Hogan, Eoghan Hayes, Patrick Collins, Aoife Moloney, Lisa Nield, Claire,Hannah & James Coakley, Jack & Kate Harrington.

Sunday 8th October we had 4 athletes travel to Conna for the County Cross Country Championships.
Colin Roche, Patrick Collins, Kate & Jack Harrington. They all ran very well again doing themselves proud, with Coiln Roche coming in 3rd.

Sunday October 1st for the County cross country championships in Riverstick, we had 13 athletes compete.
Fionn O Donovan, Leon Healy, Tara Hipwell, Lisa Nield, Fionan Smith, Patrick Collins, Aoife Moloney, Brion Mullen, Colin Roche, Orlagh & Yvonne O Mahony, Claire & Hannah Coakley.
They all ran very well on what was a testing course. And all did themselves proud. Especially Fionan Smith coming in 2nd Place.

Counties Cross Country

Sunday 1st October in Riverstick, we have the Juvenile Even-age cross country championships 1st Race 1pm.
Sunday 8th October in Conna, we have the Juvenile Uneven-age cross country championships 2pm start.

West Cork Cross Country Champioships 2017

On the 17th September in Rathroon,Ballinadee the West Cork cross country championships took place hosted by Bandon AC.
Courceys AC had a great turn out for this event, with 13 athletes taking part.
Colin Roche 3rd place (U15), Fionan Smith 2nd place (U10), Kate Harrington just missed out on a medal coming in 4th (U9).
Patrick Collins,Fionn O Donovan,Jack Harrington,Sinead Hynes,Eoghan Hayes,Odhran Smith,Patrick McFadden,Aoife Moloney,Brion Mullen & Ann Marie Moloney also competed on what was a very tough course and all did themselves and the club proud.

West Cork Division Cross-Country Championships 2017

These championships will take place on Sunday 17th September.
Venue to be confirmed.
Girls & Boys U9,U10,U12,U14 & U16.
First race at 11am
No registration needed.
Juveniles 3euros entry.
Adults 5euros entry.
