Our end of season activities start this week in readiness for the annual green dressing which will be applied next Tuesday.  In the meantime, it was so pleasing to see the green still looking so well in the early morning sunshine, even at the end of a long and busy season.

Many thanks - and congratulations - to Keith, Mark and their many helpers.

The Club has just returned from yet another successful and most enjoyable bowls tour, this time to Devon.  Below we have some of the elite players from the club - a very handsome lot indeed - about to partake in our first match at Exeter on route to our base at the Queens Hotel in beautiful Paignton.

The opposition at Exeter really made us welcome....such nice people.  The picture shows lots of anticipation and smiley  faces before the match, although we're not so sure if, after the match, this continued as we lost every  rink. "Hey ho" still great fun.  Peggy was happy though, she played for the opposition.

County Ladies are celebrating two recent victories.  First, for the sixth time in a row, the Ladies picked up the Millenium Bowl with a win over Banister Park.  Next, the Ladies beat our own Gentlemen in the Arthur Poore Trophy.

Ladies Captain, Peggy Marshall, collects the Millenium Bowl.
