Who We Are

To our neighbors in the Washingtonville School District:

This letter is to inform you that Country Kids Food Pantry is now Country Kids Food Pantry Inc. We are under new management. We have elected a new board and have assigned new officers to oversee the pantry serving our community. We are very excited with these new changes. We are reaching out to you, our neighbors for support. We are in great need of volunteers. Just a few hours a month can make a difference. If you are unable to give of your time, your financial support is also appreciated. No amount is too big or too small. Due to Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee we have moved to a new  location at 34 Goshen Avenue Washingtonville, New York 10992. The location is right next door at the "Blue House" Which belongs to St. Mary's. We look forward to continuing our work with the community and developing new partnerships for our ongoing commitment to support our low-income families. Our goal has always been and will continue to be to stop hunger in Washingtonville School District.

Currently the pantry assists approximately 360 families a month. Most of the food in the pantry comes from the generosity of individuals like you in the community, as well as food drives sponsored by schools, churches and businesses. Food drives are always needed to keep our shelves stocked, but each and every individual donation adds up, enabling us to fulfill our mission. Each donation helps low-income working families put food on the table. It also helps children perform better in school and ensure that they are starting their days with the nutrition they need to succeed.

The Food Pantry operates through out the year and we gratefully accept all non-perishable and monetary donations at  St. Mary’s Church and at Country Kids  Food Pantry.  Your generous donation will have a real impact in the lives of so many people, allowing families, children and the elderly to receive food and nourishment.

Our days for distribution are the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month between 3:00 pm-6pm. For more information and\or to volunteer please call the food pantry at 845-496-2119 or email countrykidspantry@gmail.com.

Without your kindness and generosity, we would not be able to help those who need it most. Low-income families need your support more than ever. Your donations are tax deductible.

Thanks again for all your support.

John Flores, President and the volunteers at Country Kids Food Pantry Inc.
