About Patricia

I started my Counselling career in the mid nineties, after experiencing what counselling was like for myself.  I found the whole process was exactly what I needed, so decided to go on in my career to help others in the same way, and of course a requirement of the training was to be in my own Therapy.

I trained for five years in South West London to gain an Advanced Diploma, and completed a Masters Degree in Harley Street London W1 with Professor Petruska Clarkson in 2004. I have worked on NHS Clinical Trials at the University of Reading, and for local government as a Therapist to troubled families. I have worked for over 25 years in mental health, and I am passionate about children & young people receiving the help they need at an early stage.

As a qualified Teacher, I have led training on Counselling courses, and I have developed and delivered Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) courses for Local Government, along with lecturing in other subjects including Mental Health, Human Development and Research. I am a Intergrative Practitioner, which means I can adapt my approach to what the client is needing.

I am a MBACP registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor, and am accredited in Evidence based Parenting Education.  This assists parents to develop new skills, by implementing a renewed education of their parenting style.
I adhere to the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework and Code of Practice, whereby clients can rely on complete confidentiality.
