Services

Listed below are the main types of remediation services we are involved with.

MOLD Remediation

There are over 100,000 species of mold throughout the world which can grow as long as moisture and oxygen are present.  Mold can cause varying health problems such as:  allergies, skin rashes, pulmonary aspergillosis and even life threatening infections.

Building practices have changed over the past 30 years.  Many are now utilizing organic based, safer for the environment products.  However, these products are an excellent "food source" for mold and are causing an increase in mold problems.

C-R Services, LLC provides insured, comprehensive remediation services to isolate, disinfect and remove the contamination in all the building materials.
We perform a seven step process:
  1. Evaluate the affected area and its damage
  2. Contain the area with polyethylene sheeting for an air chamber and changing room for our technicians
  3. Establish negative air pressure inside the containment area
  4. Remove the affected materials that cannot be sanitized, as well as the moisture
  5. Vacuum all dust and spores with a HEPA vacuum
  6. Treat all surfaces with an EPA approved anti-microbial solution
  7. Clear test by an independent, accredited Industrial Hygienist (analyzed at an EPA accredited laboratory)

ASBESTOS Remediation

With over 3,000 manufactured products known to contain asbestos, there are very strict requirements set by federal and state authorities regulating handling, removal and disposal of asbestos.  This hazardous material was widely used in construction (both residential and commercial) from 1940 -1978 when it was banned by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Asbestos is extremely hazardous to workers handling it, as well as to others in the area when it becomes airborne and thusly inhaled.  It has been shown to cause cancer or other serious health hazards if not taken care of properly.  Most asbestos fibers in the air are invisible, but can remain suspended in the air for over 72 hours.

We provide skilled, trained, licensed and insured personnel to perform required inspections of facilities prior to renovaction or demolition, and the subsequent remediation of these materials.

LEAD-BASED PAINT Remediation

Any home or commercial building constructed prior to 1978 has the potential to contain lead-based paint.  It has been estimated that greater than 40% of buildings contain lead.  Lead-based paint removal can result in harm to both workers doing the removal, as well as to people who live or work nearby.  Untreated lead poising can lead to neurological problems, seizures, coma and even death.

Individuals can ingest lead from paint that flakes, chips or chalks as it ages.  Lead dust settles on furniture, floors, walls and in ventilation systems - basically anything in the room itself.  Lead dust can be invisible to the naked eye.  Children under the age of 5 are particularly susceptible to this hazard as the dust gets on their toys, and ultimately into their mouths.  They also absorb more through their bodies; and their brain and nervous systems are more sensitive to the damaging affects.

All processes that we follow to alleviate this hazard will follow proper containment, removal, decontamination and proper disposal of the debris in accordance with all state and federal regulations.

DEMOLITION - Interior & Exterior

This consists of tearing down buildings and other structures.  For houses it can be done manually or mechanically - dependant upon the extent of the demolition needed.  Perhaps you need an existing kitchen demolished and prepared for a renovation.  Perhaps you need all your siding and roofing materials removed and safely disposed of - in order for a roofing and siding company to do the replacement.  For buildings larger than two or three stories it may involve heavy equipment.  Talk with us - let's determine the best path for your project!

CONTAMINATED SOIL Remediation

Any time oil, gas, paint or any kinds of liquids or gases are spilled upon soil it requires special handling to ensure it has been completely removed and made safe for you.  This type of process varies dependent upon the type of spill that has occurred.  We will ensure that correct handling is done to remove and replace (as necessary) the contaminated area in a safe manner for the environment, you and us!
