Trinity Walks

Once again the Walking Group have compiled a monthly walk from March to October. All members and friends of Trinity Church are welcome to join in these walks, also friends from the other churches in the Enfield Circuit and the Local Ecumenical Partnership.

Our walks are usually quite easy and we use public transport to get to the start and home whenever possible.

Please put them in your diary now, before you forget! Fuller details will be updated here when known and also published in Connect and the weekly notices

Walks Planned for 2020

New Year's Day - Enfield Chase to Grovelands Park led by David & Hilary Luckcock. Approx 4 miles Meet at Enfield Chase Station at 10.45am. Option for soup lunch at David & Hilary's home.

Saturday 14th March - Bushey to Rickmansworth led by Mike James. 6 miles. This is a repeat of last year's walk but in the opposite direction. We will be able to explore 2 nature reserves not visited before and end up at Rickmansworth for refreshments. The walk follows a disused railway line with scenic views and the Grand Union canal. Meet at Enfield Chase station at 9.30am to catch the 9.52 train to Moorgate and then via underground to Euston to catch a train to Bushey. Return from Rickmansworth. All travel is covered by the freedom pass. Be aware that there are no places to eat en route, so a packed lunch is necessary.

Bank Holiday Monday 13th April - Embankment to Tower of London led by Deirdre Barrie. 3 miles. A repeat of the Thames walk a few years ago, with lots of history: we pass Queenhithe, an inlet dating back to Saxon times, a plaque to Samuel Pepys, a view of Shakespeare's Globe on the South Bank and of course, end up at the Tower of London. There are several cafes beside the Tower, including an excellent souvenir shop outside its walls. Although there are toilets at the start and the end of the walk, each of these charge 50p entry!
