USARSim

USARSim is a high-fidelity simulation of robots and environments based on the Unreal Tournament game engine. It is intended as a research tool and is the basis for the RoboCup USAR simulation competition.


USARSim can work with player


Install Unreal Tournament 2004 Editors' Choice Edition in Linux
  1. need install libstdc++ v5 , libstdc++.so.5
  2. download ut2004_3369-english.midway.dvd-3.run
  3. sh ut2004_3369-english.midway.dvd-3.run
  4. Enter CD key... [waiting my CD]
  5. ....[.WIP]

6CD version ( with linux-installer.sh , under ubuntu 8.04 )
  1. mount CD image
    $ mkdir /media/isoimage
    $ sudo mount UT2004\Disc1.iso /media/isoimage/ -t iso9660 -o loop

  2. $ cp /media/isoimage/linux-installer.sh .
  3. $ export SETUP_CDROM=/media/isoimage
  4. $ chmod +x linux-installer.sh
  5. $ sudo ./linux-installer.sh
  6. mount disk 2
    $ sudo umount /media/isoimage
    $ sudo mount UT2004\Disc1.iso /media/isoimage/ -t iso9660 -o loop
    ... for disk 2-5
  7. download 3369 path http://downloads.unrealadmin.org/UT2004/Patches/Linux/ut2004-lnxpatch3369-2.tar.bz2 21.4MB
  8. download http://www.hetepsenusret.net/files/ut2k*/ut2k4-patch
    $ chmod +x ut2k4-patch
    run path
    $ ./ut2k4-patch ut2004-lnxpatch3369-2.tar.bz2

6CD version Windows
  1. install UT2004
  2. path to 3369
  3. download and install USARSimFull_3.31.exe
  4. download maps , try DM-Arda_V3.31.exe , you will have map DM-Arda_250.ut2 in maps floder
  5. TEST
    C:\winapp\UT2004\System> start ut2004 DM-Arda_250?game=USARBot.USARDeathMatch?spectatoronly=1?TimeLimit=0?quickstart=true -ini=usarsim.ini
    Should work...If you have runtime error, make sure your map file is installed in Maps folder
  6. ....gamebot...



Install Gamebot
  1. Download from here.
