President's Report 2010
This report caps off another year of varied projects for CAPS members.

Included in these projects is the hand over to SCRC infrastructure department the Stormwater Quality Improvement Devices installed by Clean Water Constructions. This has been such a positive project for the Coolum Beach surrounding waterways and stormwater outlets that Council have installed additional traps around town. These areas include, the junction of Beach Road and Frank Street and First Bay areas............

About Stumers Creek Catchment Group

In 2012, Coolum Area Parks Society changed its name to Stumers Creek Catchment Group.

The Coolum Area Parks Society (C.A.P.S.) was formed in 1997 as a voluntary not for profit organisation with an aim to help effectively protect, conserve and manage Coolum's natural areas and waterways. C.A.P.S., together with other community groups has successfully brought about

    * extension & protection of Mt Emu National Park

    * development of a catchment management plan for Stumers Creek

    * regular working bees within the riparian area of          Stumers Ck

    * development of a local Walk Map and     Canoeing  Guide

    * walks & canoe days for residents to participate,             explore & enjoy Coolum's natural areas.
