Prosciutto Pea Pizza

INGREDIENTS

150g peas (fresh or refrigated)

1 red onion

2 tablespoons olive oil

ca. 400g pizza dough

80g firm cheese

150grRicotta

100g prosciutto

Salt, pepper

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. In a small pot bring to boil about half a liter water. Drop in the peas – if you use fresh ones, they will need about 1-2 minutes, if you take frozen ones, let them cook for about 5 minutes. Then strain the peas and put them in a small bowl.

2. Cut the onions into thin slices and mix them with the peas. Toss in the olive oil.

3. Roll out the pizza dough in your preferred shape. Preheat the oven to about 220°C (430°F).

4. Rasp the cheese and mix it with the ricotta. Add salt and pepper. Afterwards dap the pizza dough with olive oil, spread the ricotta-cheese mixture on it and scatter the prosciutto.

5. Bake the pizza for about 7-10 minutes until the pizza crust gets a little bit golden. Open the oven, spread the peas and onions on the pizza and bake for another 3- 10 minutes (depends on the dough you use).
