Pecan Pie Cooling
Last pie of the day, this one a rich Pecan with a touch of molasses and spiced rum added for extra flavor. It has extra pecans to make it full of pecan flavor as well. A pecan pie should taste like pecans and not too sweet...at least that's my take on the subject. I also prefer my Pecan pies to be deep, dark brown. I like the color on this one...nice and dark. The raised crust allows for a little whipped cream or a sliver of vanilla ice cream according to one's tastes. The surface cracking will subside as it cools but I didn't want to wait to take the photo...it's time for bed! Happy Thanksgiving, y'all.pecan pie
i was very pleased to find that konditor & cook was selling pumpkin + pecan pies yesterday for thanksgiving. well, let's just say that it looked (much) better than it tasted. (perhaps i should give them my recipe...) however, our turkey was delicious! hope your day was full of good things.
