Indian style savoury potato cakes with chickpea flour
Peel 4 potatoes and 1 onion and grate all roughly. Measure out 150 ml chickpea-flour in a bowl and stir in water until you have a thick batter. Add 1 tsp fine salt, 1 finely chopped de-seeded green chili, 2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander, 1 tbsp shredded fresh ginger, ? tsp black cumin seeds and the grated vegetables. Mix well. Fry spoonfuls of the mixture in a frying pan in hot oil over medium to high heat until golden. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
