Strobist Lighting 102: Cooking Light
Strobist Lighting 102: Cooking Light
Stainless steel spoons on white posterboard. Strobist: B800 through 28" softbox camera right lighting whole scene and set close so that it's light fades off slightly as it reaches top left of frame. Vivitar 285 gelled with full CTO, through black-straw-grid camera left aimed at white foamcore located at rear of scene. Gobo placed in front of gridded flash as to not hit scene directly. The colored light looks flame-like in the spoons reflection and also colors the paper (which is more evident towards the top left of frame because the light from the softbox died off here a bit). 1/200s f/4.0 ISO 100 50mm focal length I thought this met the assignment criteria a little better so I called it final.
