The project consists of a mobile robot, which follows a pre-defined path with various stations. The user will choose a CD from a database and it will be sent to the robot. The robot will place the CD lifter to the CD position, and stop in front of the CD rack. A battery monitor is included on the robot for displaying the battery voltage.

The project objective is that the robot can guide itself on the line to get or put a CD, from a rack. The robot would be connected with the pc so that it can get the instruction of the CD location, that is the Rack number and the position number. It would begin moving from where the pc is connected, home position and continues on the black line till it meets the first station.
When it meets a station (where there is a rack) it begins to count the rack numbers. So if it meets the rack number that it wants, it stops, move to the new track and grab the CD. After he moves with a reverse mode to position itself on the track that guides him to the home station.
Apart from the line follower, a Voltage Battery Monitor was included. This would consist of a microcontroller which has an ADC in-built. So the voltage of the battery would be connected to the input of the ADC, after there would be some calculation to be done in the microcontroller so that the voltage would be displayed on an LCD with a matrix of 20 by 4 lines.
